Your Impact:

At Jacobs, we’re focused on advancing our clients’ environmental stewardship, energy infrastructure modernization, and sustainability initiatives. We’re seeking a Senior Land Use Planner to lead fast-paced energy infrastructure development, maintenance, and replacement projects, thereby supporting our clients’ ability to adapt and thrive – both today and into tomorrow as the world changes and we face unprecedented challenges. You will work both individually and within a team, serving as a key team member who leads and supports others, engages in regular client and team interaction, coordinates and collaborates with multiple client technical leads, and organizes and summarizes technical material for multiple projects simultaneously in support of projects in the Pacific Northwest, and more broadly throughout the west coast. Your work will contribute to realizing safer infrastructure operations, healthier communities, and protection of our world’s natural resources.

Based in the Pacific Northwest and aligned to our Portland or Seattle office, you’ll have the opportunity to support siting and permitting efforts for multiple client sectors (e.g., energy, technology, transportation, rail). This includes multiple forms of renewable energy capital projects. The focus of the role is to support the technical development/authorship of permit applications with a focus on local land use and state level (Washington Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council [EFSEC] and Oregon Energy Facility Siting Council [EFSC]) project applications. In addition, the Senior Land Use Planner will have the opportunity to support a variety of environmentally focused permits. This is an opportunity to accelerate your growth and be a lead planner for capital project regulatory clearance. Jacobs supports hybrid work from home and in-person schedules, with flexibility to accommodate staff’s work/life balance.

At Jacobs, we’re partnering across the globe to create the best project outcomes by maximizing the design, digital technology, and support capabilities of our Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teammates. By joining Jacobs, you’ll commit to supporting and engaging with these teams, as we work to build a company like no other.

Jacobs’ health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about. Your health. Your well-being. Your security. Your future. Employees have access to medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discount. Eligible employees may also enroll in a deferred compensation plan or the Executive Deferral Plan. Jacobs has an unlimited U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off (PPTO) policy for full-time salaried/exempt employees, seven paid holidays, one floating holiday, and caregiver leave. And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock.

If based in Seattle WA, the base salary range for this position is $82,200 to $112,700. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
