Overview

The 1st shift Associate II, Warehouse Operations is responsible for communicating and coordinating all areas within the warehouse operations by ensuring all required manual and systematic tasks are processed both on time and accurately. Monitors and support the warehouse team and ensures the company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed.

Responsibilities

  • Applies extensive knowledge and company policies to complete a wide range of assignments.
  • Perform and coordinate warehouse activities.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for close communications with internal and external warehouse operations.
  • Other miscellaneous duties may be assigned by the Warehouse Operations Manager or Director of Materials to meet department objectives.
  • Demonstrates expert understanding of all levels of the job family and has thorough knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility.
  • Takes the lead in effectively applying new processes and skills in accomplishing assignments.
  • May provide technical guidance and training to others.
  • Works on complex problems that require independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues.
  • Makes recommendations for new/revised processes and has role in the implementation.
  • Adheres to all quality guidelines.
  • Works with minimal degree of supervision. Has latitude to make decisions in exceptional circumstances within established guidelines.
  • Provides guidance and work direction to less experienced team members.
  • Ensure all QAD production and JDE and inventory related transactions are completed in a timely manner; investigate and resolve any inaccuracies that may arise.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and correcting errors in QAD and JDE and collecting and providing data to drive Materials/Accounting related decisions.
  • Performs crucial roles in maintaining the Kanban‐based inventory pull system.
  • Ensure all transactions and associated documentation are accurate and complete.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Comply with written company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma (AA degree preferred) and minimum 5 years of previous Materials and/or Shipping experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift experience
  • QAD experience a plus. General computer skills required, including working knowledge of Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills required.

Pay / Compensation

The expected pre-tax pay rate for this position is $20.67 - $31.00 per hour

Actual pay may fluctuate outside of the range depending on skills, education, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
