The Job

At Own, our event sponsorship team is renowned for crafting unparalleled technology gatherings that welcome our customers, prospects, partners and advocates from all over the world. From the presence at iconic Dreamforce, to World Tours, ServiceNow Knowledge and a wide array of nationwide and international events, we captivate and energize our attendees to create experiences that are immersive and memorable. 

We are looking for an experienced events marketing leader to build and execute our global event strategy. In this role, you'll spearhead the conceptualization and realization of cutting-edge event experiences across our strategic event lineup, spanning both physical and virtual realms. Collaborating closely with internal teams such as Partner, Customer and Product Marketing as well as Integrated Campaigns and Field Marketing, you'll mold immersive event encounters for flagship gatherings. Your contribution will be pivotal in elevating awareness of new launches and products, igniting buyer interest, and bolstering pipeline and ACV expansion. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Growth Marketing.

Your Day-to-Day Role

  • Manage cross-functional partnership with Own’s sales, product, and marketing leadership teams to strategize, plan and manage global events that can best deliver against the business’ KPIs.
  • Collaborate with the design and product marketing teams on messaging, branding, and overall presence to maximize traffic to booths.
  • Determine and rank essential products, industries, and launch opportunities throughout our event lineup.
  • Strategize on how to create derivative event assets to support additional programs including video and content strategy.
  • Develop forecasting models to estimate the ROI of marketing events, track actual ROI against forecasts, and provide regular reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Measure and report on event performance including attendance, influenced pipeline, and ROI.
  • Make data-driven recommendations for future events, leveraging insights to continuously improve our event strategy.
  • Recruit, manage, and develop a high performing, global event marketing team.
  • Manage event budgets, negotiate contracts with vendors, and track ROI to ensure events are cost-effective and drive measurable results.

Your Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field; MBA a plus.
  • 8-10 years of event experience leading an external event strategy within a B2B SaaS environment — experience supporting Dreamforce, World Tours, preferred. 
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience
  • Strong experience with event budget and vendor management
  • Proficiency with CRM and marketing automation tools (Salesforce.com and Pardot preferred)
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced sales driven environment
  • Creative thinker with a passion for developing innovative event experiences.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze event data and metrics to drive decision-making.
  • Proven track record of working independently,with sales teams and multiple levels of management, including an executive audience.

Important Details

This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will work out of our Englewood Cliffs, NJ office a minimum of 3 days per week to maximize collaboration and interaction with the business. Travel may be required.
