Overview

Under limited supervision, Responsible for managing scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing, outside vendors, and contractual deliverables through prioritized flexible self-service analysis, governed data on trusted platforms, empowered business users, and speed to insight. Responsible for the coordination of personnel and resources required for successful support and expansion of ESSC EDW which includes team development, driving report standardization across the organization and continued growth of the dataset. Oversees the development of executive dashboards and reports utilizing a standardized approach to capture KPI and other business measurements as directed by leadership.

Pay range:$100k-120k/yr

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 Manages the daily activities of BI and DW team for ESSC through developing data mining models to identify

trends and patterns within large datasets and designing and developing new data warehouses as needed,

including creating schemas and ETL procedures.

 Leads the team, providing the technical services required to sustain EDW applications. This team will include

Project Management, Data Warehouse Operations, IT support, Business Intelligence and Reporting, MS

Power BI reporting solution or like, Lessons Learned and support of Executive and leadership dashboard and

reporting requirements.

 Develops the processes and procedures for the warehouse’s day-to-day operations, including creating

backup plans for disaster recovery in case of equipment failure or data loss.

 Responsible for the overall health of the EDW through active collaboration with external vendors and internal

IT departments.

 Works with third party vendors, data sharing partners and infrastructure teams to expand the DW solution.

 Interacts with and presents directly to executive levels.

 Establishes enterprise wide standards for business reporting and dashboards.

 Establishes data management and governance structures for EDW through developing the processes and

procedures for the warehouse’s day-to-day operations, including creating backup plans for disaster recovery

in case of equipment failure or data loss

 Establishes training programs for team to include BI report tools, SQL and data documentation

 Engages in risk identification, evaluation, strategy, action plans and migration activities.

 Manages project risk by identifying, planning for, developing and implementing strategies to mitigate or

minimize risks and monitor findings, and monitoring risks throughout the project. Appropriately escalates

risks and/or issues to the New Development & Innovation Director and/or sponsor(s) as needed. Facilitates

or assists with conflict resolution within project team.

 Prepares project communications including status reports, dashboards, and other materials to keep

management, business units, and other stakeholders informed of project status and related issues. Performs

quantitative and/or qualitative analysis for project including data collection and review, requirements

analysis, work flow process analysis, root-cause analysis, etc.

 Maintains positive relationships with ESSC service line members and corporate departments and promotes

collaboration and exchange of information between them.

 Provides budgetary information as directed by supervisor.

 Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

 Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Computer Science

EXPERIENCE:

 4 years database experience.

 2-4 years management or supervisory experience preferred.

 Previous work experience in healthcare or behavioral health organizations preferred.

 SQL knowledge preferred

 Microsoft Power BI experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

 Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear, concise, effective, and accurate manner to achieve. Effective leading teams and meetings. Able to negotiate and set priorities as required.

 Strong attention to detail

 Customer focused, results oriented. Able to maintain customer service orientation and professionalism at all times.

 Ability to develop and deliver high level presentations to executive management.

 Ability to develop, propose, and manage project budget. Able to practice good time management and to multitask.

 Proficiency with MS power BI and other ETL reporting tools. Proficiency with SQL, relational databases or data modeling.

 Technical understanding of database infrastructure.

 Ability to exercise discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.

 Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation, per Easterseals Southern California and/or program requirements.

 Must pass all drug testing required by ESSC.
