Summary:

  • Leads collaboration across Marketing colleagues and with agency partners to develop, gain alignment, and implement content marketing programs within data-driven, omnichannel Marketing campaigns and projects.
  • Understands business issues and business objectives and aligns with the needs of specific targeted audiences to deliver the right message to the right audience at the right time.
  • Responsible for ensuring content marketing activities advance corporate and operations objectives and that brand and business messages are balanced and consistent, yet flexible.
  • Provides thought leadership and expert consultation on channel selection and format optimization that builds engagement across the content lifecycle, continually introducing content marketing best practices to colleagues and executive stakeholders.
  • Ensures content aligns with our brand, supports corporate and marketing objectives, and differentiates FM Global from its competitors.
  • Provides support for oversight and guidance of PR agencies and media opportunities to protect and enhance FM Global’s reputation. 

Schedule & Location:

This is an exempt, office-based position in Johnston, Rhode Island. The schedule requires the employee to work on-site on most days with some flexibility to work remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic counsel and lead planning for content marketing activities for reputation, demand, risk improvement, loyalty, and enablement programs within marketing campaigns to support corporate objectives as well as ABM campaigns.
  • Develop and optimize omnichannel content marketing programs related to hosted and industry events, considering the entire attendee journey before, during, and after the event; aligns event content to specific marketing campaigns, amplifying engagement with campaign messaging. Accountable for channel planning for maximum audience engagement according to success criteria.
  • Proactively plan and execute content marketing programs that optimize content transcreation for local market needs by country and consistent campaign messaging; aligns with global integrated content calendar.
  • Effectively balance timely delivery of materials for individual programs and campaigns with the need to anticipate needs, provide agile support for unexpected priorities, and maximize resources across the year.
  • Oversee the creation of content by agency partners, interns, and freelance copywriters, as well as write and edit content.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

Required Work Experience:

  • 9+ years of related work experience.
  • Experience collaborating with a global, distributed team required.

Highly Preferred Work Experience:

  • Insurance industry work experience preferred.
  • PR experience preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to build consensus.
  • Knowledge of contemporary communications vehicles, including internet/intranet.

The hiring range for this position is $100,400-$144,300 annually. The final salary offer will vary based on individual education, skills, and experience.
