Senior Software Test Engineer (STE)

We are looking for a Senior Software Test Engineer (STE) to join our team in Israel. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in software test engineering, with a strong background in biology or a related field.

The role

As a Senior STE, you will take a leading role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions to our clients in the healthcare and research sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of comprehensive test strategies and test plans for our genomic sequencing interpretation platform.
• Conduct functional, regression, and sanity testing to identify software defects.
• Document and report defects encountered during development and testing,
• Working closely with the development team to facilitate timely resolution.
• Contribute to the creation of automated testing engine.
• Utilize your domain knowledge in biology to assess the scientific accuracy and validity of genomic interpretation algorithms and results.
• Drive the adoption and implementation of best practices in software testing and test automation.

Experience and Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Bio-Medical Engineering, Computer Science, Biology, or a related field from a leading university.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as and STE or a similar role.
• Strong background in biology or genetics, with an understanding of genomic sequencing technologies and bioinformatics algorithms.
• Proficiency in testing methodologies, tools, and techniques, with hands-on experience in test automation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
