The Ship and Radar System Integration (SRSI) Department Section Manager will be responsible for management of a group of approximately 20 engineers working multiple engineering disciplines and various programs. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Executing employee performance assessments, including administration of performance development summaries and associated activities
  • Coaching and career development
  • Planning and tracking employee task assignments
  • Ensuring employee compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Oversight of personnel issue resolution
  • Timecard approvals
  • Coordination of section meetings
  • Support to the Department Manager and Directorate
  • Prepare communication
  • Collaboratively in a team environment
  • Lead by example and align with Raytheon Values and Behaviors.
  • Work as a technical lead or individual contributor; Section Manager duties is on an average 10% of the time.

Required Skills:

  • Eight (8) + years overall engineering experience in the operation, test and troubleshooting of complex military systems
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience with software/systems integration planning and execution
  • Knowledge of the Performance Development Process
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated success leading a project or program team
  • Working knowledge with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project
  • Required: This position requires an active security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with EVMS (Earned Value Management System or similar budget tracking system)
  • Experience with Raytheon’s Proposal Capture Process (development of compliant Basis of Estimates, and White Sheet Development)
  • Experience with the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process
  • Experience with the Engineering Labor Forecasting (ELF) System
  • Knowledge of business and program improvements through process improvement methodologies

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or related curriculum
