The Whole Life Engineering Directorate (WLED) is made up of several disciplines whose main objectives include; Influencing systems early in their life cycle to assure effective operation, reliability, maintainability and economical ownership by the customer/end user; providing affordable, best in class, life cycle sustainment services after system deployment.

As a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer, you’ll be responsible for leading technical strategy and directorate level project execution in one or more of the following areas:

• Data Management for Condition Based Maintenance
• Supply & Maintenance System deployment & reporting
• Digital Sustainment & Tool Integrations

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only US Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Approximately 10% travel, both domestic and international.

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of experience in engineering, logistics support, machine maintenance or manufacturing
• Experience with equipment or machinery maintenance
• US Citizenship is required

Desired Skills:

• General Military Systems product knowledge and/or experience
• Demonstrated experience (preferably expertise) in Supply & Maintenance or MRP systems (SAP/PRISM)
• Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a team, inspiring confidence in others
• Knowledge and application of logistics principles
• Self-initiative, strong written and oral communication skills and team player
• International travel required - to include potential deployment for 6 – 9 months
• Experience in the deployment planning of sustainment resources for maintenance systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
• Demonstrated ability to influence through teaming and collaboration
• Elevated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, general proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Required Education:

BS in a STEM Degree or BA in Mathematics, Computer Science or Physics.
