The Environmental Test Lab (ETL) is responsible for providing environments for validating the suitability and performance of new engineering designs and products. ETL also supports other testing such as Environmental Stress Screening (ESS), evaluation, qualification, lot acceptance, and combined environment reliability testing.

You'll would work as part of a team to provide mechanical engineering support for various environmental tests. This may include but not limited to the design of vibration test fixtures, design of climatic test support equipment, develop enhancements to improve performance of refrigeration and other equipment, upgrade control systems, coordinate and/or schedule environmental tests, write calibration or test procedures, or other test support as needed.

Required Skills:

• A minimum of 2+ years of related and applicable work experience
• Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools and analysis tools
• Experience with Mechanical/Electrical design
• Solid modeling experience
• Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810
• Refrigeration experience, welding experience, inventory control, calibration, and test

Required Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Engineering Science, or related technical degree

Desired Education:

MS/MA in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Engineering Science or related technical degree
