The Strategy, Development & Communications team is a major influencer in the long-term vision of Collins Aerospace. Working together with teams across the company, we focus on strategic planning and analysis, internal and external communications, mergers and acquisitions and revenue synergies. This position leads the International Integrated Solutions (IIS) business development team. This organization pursues international business for the majority of the Integrated Solutions business including network enabled solutions such as NTDL and global joint fires programs, emerging generational programs such as TEMPEST and FCAS, emerging multi-domain command and control programs such as AFSC, UAS programs such as LANCA, and Test and Training Instrumentation programs such as UK ACMI. This position requires expertise in the Pursuit and Order Capture (POC) phase of programs, including the POC processes of Price to Win, Contact Plans/Affinity Analysis, and Competitive Analysis. This position leads a team of business development managers.

A successful candidate will be familiar with the customer and competitive market in the areas and programs listed above, familiarity with Collins Aerospace processes and network, and ability to drive the IIS business development and broader team into new opportunities leveraging technologies and positions in Integrated Solutions and across Collins Aerospace. Successful experience with leading the business development effort of both system-level integrations and product-level pursuits is desired.

Job Responsibilities Also Include:

  • Responsible for managing and executing within organization’s discretionary budget (Travel, Technical Assistance to Sales, Bailment, Marketing Communications funds, consultants, etc.)
  • Frequent executive engagement on organizations pursuits and orders commitments
  • Builds strong and extensive working relationships internally and externally. 
  • Ensures that all required resources such as business development, engineering support funding, and the like are available for the organization’s pursuits.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience 
  • Demonstrated success in a business development leadership role or an operational or acquisition leadership role is required.
