Job Description:

Raytheon Intelligence & Space's Field Engineering is currently seeking a candidate to fill a Senior Field Engineer I position to work with Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) Satellite Communication (SATCOM) systems. The selected candidate will primarily perform maintenance and repair, upgrades, site surveys, installations, integration, and acceptance testing of state-of-the-art EHF/AEHF SATCOM systems. In addition, the selected candidate will also be required to provide technical assistance as part of a SATCOM helpdesk team. While this position is primarily located in the Colorado Springs CO area, candidates for this position should be able to travel up to 70% of the time both CONUS and OCONUS. Position Responsibilities:

• Maintain, repair and upgrade EHF/AEHF SATCOM Systems.
• Conduct site surveys, installations, integration and acceptance testing of EHF/AEHF SATCOM systems.
• Provide technical assistance as part of a SATCOM helpdesk team.
• Focus on and commitment to high quality work
• Travel up to 70% of the time both CONUS and OCONUS

Required Skills:

• Must have at least four (4) years prior experience in troubleshooting and repair of SATCOM systems including two (2) years’ combined experience on Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) SATCOM systems.
• Ability to read and interpret procedures, work instructions, schematics, diagrams, and assembly instructions.
• Proficient with the use of hand and power tools and electrical/electronic test equipment.
• Must be able to obtain or possess a Top Secret DOD clearance.
• Experience working in a military environment.
• Excellent written and oral skills.
• Ability to travel, interface directly with the customer, work independently or as part of a team, and provide written status to management.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in troubleshooting and repair of the Minuteman (MM) Minimum Essential Emergency Communications Network (MEECN) Program (MMP) Upgrade (MMPU), Family of Advanced Beyond Line-of-Sight Terminals (FAB-T), or Global Aircrew Strategic Network Terminal (GASN-T).
• Active duty or reserve military experience is desirable but not required.
• Experience working in the field, independently as a Field Service Engineer or representative a plus.
• Experience with MS Office products including Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, and Visio.

Required Education (including Major):

A Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field and 4 years relevant experience OR an Associate's degree and 8 years of relevant experience OR at least 12 years relevant experience with no degree. Relevant experience includes military experience on similar complex SATCOM equipment.
