Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) is seeking a Logistics/Property Specialist to perform a wide variety of tasks related to incoming and outgoing Company and Government material/equipment. Duties include the receipt, verification/inspection, warehouse/inventory control and delivery of incoming material. Conduct appropriate property marking or tagging of equipment, asset record creation and maintenance, and overseeing final disposition of property. Packaging and shipping services of material/equipment whether purchased, leased, donated or government/Customer Furnished, to include tracking of shipments. In addition, the Logistics/Property Specialist will prepare documents; verify Government equipment leaving the facility, and collect metrics associated with the receipt, disposition and shipment of Government and Company equipment.

The Logistics/Property Specialist will conduct annual physical inventory activities by managing the schedule, assist in resolving discrepancies to ensure 100% accountability, and reporting metrics. Participate in internal and external audits and assist in the resolution of nonconformance. Perform duties that utilize computers involved in the receipt, distribution, tracking and shipment of material, as well as the accountability and accuracy of physical records. Maintain functional records in support of internal and external audits to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

The Logistics/Property Specialist will interact with customer and company property/logistics representatives as well as freight carriers and Government personnel. Possesses ability to train and mentor other employees.

Requirements:

  • Willing and able to operate powered equipment to transport material/equipment
  • Strong self-starter with ability to work independently on multiple assignments.
  • Ability to be flexible with related work assignments to include logistics and asset control functions along with the ability to deal with shifting priorities and changes and display effective time management skills.
  • Detail oriented, efficient/courteous communications with peers and management alike, as well as foster a diverse and inclusive environment.
  • Maintain consistent high quality with rapid execution.
  • Must be a team player who is comfortable operating in a high energy and often deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to multi-task while meeting the demands of several complex objectives.
  • Results focused, ensuring critical due dates and cycle times are met.
  • Comprehensive writing skills - Ability to produce effective written documents.
  • Effective communication skills – Ability to effectively listen to and communicate with internal customers and team mates.
  • Effective computer skills – Applied computer skills in Microsoft Office; specifically Word and Excel.
  • Able and willing to lift 50 pounds and carry for 40 feet.
  • Able and willing to be forklift certified.
  • Must be US Citizen with current existing Secret security clearance or ability to obtain in a reasonable timeframe.
  • Able and willing to obtain certification in DOT Hazmat / IATA Dangerous Goods Training
  • Willing and able to do minimal travel as needed

Desired Skills:

  • Previous applicable experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of receiving, shipping, and warehouse/inventory methodology.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP (PRISM/APEX) Inventory Management/Warehouse Management system transactions.
  • Practical understanding of Government/Customer Property Management as defined in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience (Bachelor’s Degree = 8 years additional applicable experience).
