The Automation Systems Integration (ASI) Team provides complex automation, as well as digital support systems to help factories meet cost, quality and schedule goals.
Position Overview:
The Automation Team within Manufacturing and Test & Engineering (MTE) is seeking an Automation Technician to support manufacturing automation processes in our factories. An ideally suited candidate will have a background in automation, pneumatics, and electrical control systems in an industrial or factory environment.
US Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of existing automated systems.
- Differentiate between service and warranty
- Plan, coordinate the efforts of multiple support organizations, and direct communication with factory leadership
- Assist Automation Engineers during the conceptualization, design, fabrication, integration and implementation of new manufacturing automation processes
Required Skills:
- Associates Degree or certification from a trade school or similar program
Or
- Arizona Advanced Manufacturing Institute (AZAMI) Associate in Applied Science – Industrial Robotics and Automation Technology
- High School diploma or equivalent, with 3 years’ experience in support and troubleshooting of manufacturing automation systems will be considered in lieu of degree
- U. S. Citizenship is required
Desired Skills:
- Associate’s degree in mechatronics, industrial automation
- Experience with installation and/or troubleshooting for programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Experience to interpret technical manuals and/or schematics
- Experience with Evaluation and troubleshooting of industrial sensors
- Five (5) plus years’ experience in support and troubleshooting of manufacturing automation systems
- Experience with support and troubleshooting pneumatic systems
- Experience with Allen-Bradley or similar Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
- Experience with programming FANUC and or similar industrial robot systems
- Experience with Machine Vision Systems (Keyence and or Cognex)
- Experience reading and debugging industrial programming languages
- Experience with support and troubleshooting servo control systems
- Experience with Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) maintenance, support and troubleshooting
