This position is CONTINGENT upon funding, an open position, customer approval, completion of a favorable background investigation, and the ability to obtain and maintain a USPS sensitive clearance.

An experienced Service Continuity/Exercises and Testing Analyst is needed to join the security team of a major nationwide organization, with thousands of sites, to continually improve its complex multi-protocol nationwide network.

The Service Continuity/Exercises and Testing Analyst primary objective is to maintain resilient processes and capabilities for CISO South (Aerial) and CISO North (Gatehouse) and other related CISO locations as well as all CSOC programs and process areas. CISO Exercises and Testing develops and execute exercises or planned tests to evaluate resiliency of CISO processes and facilities. CISO Exercises and Testing is also called upon to assist in larger CIO-level Exercises and Testing or COOP Exercises and Testing.

Job responsibilities:

  • Develop testing and exercising in preparation for emergency response; physical recovery and business resumption; crisis management; maintenance and awareness.
  • Document test plans, test the plans, and debrief the test results for revisions
  • Coordinates actions with management to meet Policy requirements of All-Hazards emergency planning
  • Assist through planning and testing to maintain the CISO COOP plans in accordance with customer requirements
  • Develop and conduct business continuity awareness training – CISO leadership and organization
  • Develop and conduct business continuity management training – service continuity points of contact
  • Provide oversight over development of CISO service-level business continuity plans business impact analysis, risk assessment, contingency and service recovery planning.
  • Create a business continuity testing methodology and oversee annual testing of all business continuity plans.
  • Review and validate business continuity plans/processes in coordination with CISO stakeholders
  • Coordinate with CISO management for follow up regarding After Action Reports (AAR), Corrective Action Plans (CAP), and Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M)
  • Ensure activities adhere to Resilience Management Model (RMM) standards
  • Maintain metrics on program activities
  • Evaluate updates to Business Continuity best practices for recommended policy modification/implementation, as needed
  • Oversee creation and distribution of training and organizational training/awareness materials, as needed Normal work hours, 8am-5pm M-F with some adjustments as event schedules require.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a sensitive clearance – Position of Public Trust – and may be required to obtain a higher security clearance

Desired skills:

  • 4+ years of work experience directly related to Business Continuity (BC) planning, processes and activities
  • Strong working knowledge of Incident and Business Service continuity program development and best practices
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong managerial experience
  • DRII or Federal Continuity Certification Preferred (e.g. ABCP, CBCP, MBCP)
  • Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP)
  • FEMA experience/knowledge is a plus including ICS 100/200/300/700/800 and IC 120/139

Required Education:

Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Computer Science/Computer Engineering, Engineering, Science or a related field. In lieu of degree, 2 years of related work experience may be substituted for each year of degree-level education.
