Job Description:
Our organization is looking for FPGA development and verification engineers to help us grow our successful satellite communication business by participating in the development of the next generation of systems. These complex systems involve collaboration and close working relationships with team members of other disciplines, including systems, electrical, mechanical, software, and integration and test engineers.
Responsibilities of this position include:
- Active participation in architecture development and the allocation of functions to hardware or software.
- Contributing to the development of FPGA requirements and defining hardware and software interfaces of FPGAs.
- Performing FPGA design, development, and verification.
- Working with a cross-functional team during module/unit/system level integration and test in the laboratory.
- Providing support to qualification test activities.
Required Skills:
- Experience in VHDL-based RTL and functional design, analysis, and verification.
- 6+ years of FPGA experience
- Experience with FPGA and CPLD devices and development tools from Xilinx, Altera, and/or Lattice.
- Proficiency with Modelsim and/or QuestaSim.
- The ability to develop architectural approaches to meet written requirements.
- Experience performing hardware/software/FPGA integration in a laboratory environment.
- Possess, or able to obtain, Secret security clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Verilog and/or System Verilog for design verification
- Experience incorporating third party IP into FPGA designs, including PCIe and Ethernet interfaces.
- Experience using DOORS for requirements capture and flow-down.
- Experience with configuration control tools such as Git orClearcase.

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
