Job Description:

Responsible for early engagement with Programs and Internal Research and Development (IRAD) teams to provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) guidance, manufacturing cost reduction opportunities, and facilitating best practices. The position requires driving product designs by leveraging manufacturing trends and capability from the Circuit Card Assembly production floor. The candidate will also utilize and support software tools daily, like Valor, in support of DFM activities. Additional responsibilities include component footprint recommendations for CCAs, continuous improvement of standard notes, and the update and improvement of related policies, procedures, and guidelines.

US Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in Circuit Card Assembly Manufacturing Engineering and support of manufacturing processes
  • Experience with manufacturing CCAs for DOD hardware design (such as IPC J-STD-001 Class 3)
  • Valor NPI Design for manufacturing experience
  • Hands-on CCA manufacturing or process experience for specialized process tooling development experience
  • (such as stencils, fixtures, carriers)
  • Experience with component footprint design for Class 3 circuit card assembly

Desired Skills:

  • Strong teaming and communication skills including leading customer communications, leadership briefings, and leading effective projects/meetings.
  • Process Capability Analysis Toolset (PCAT) analysis for components
  • Understanding of printed circuit board panelization and creation
  • Ability to multi task and work with diverse cross functional teams in
  • Ability to obtain a clearance

Required Education (including Major):

  • Associates degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Applied Physics, or equivalent discipline and equivalent work experience or combination of related experience and education (each two years of related experience can substitute for one year of related education).
