The McKinney Consolidated Manufacturing Center assembles and tests some of the most advanced Electro-Optical Infrared products in the world. Test Supervisors supervise between 10-20 test technicians and perform a variety of tasks in leading their team to validate, troubleshoot and adjust these products to deliver the highest standard of quality equipment into the hands of the warfighter.

Test Supervisors develop and maintain performance metrics for their teams and ensure that their production lines are meeting the production schedule and cost proposed to their customers. This candidate will be tasked with implementing continuous improvement methods utilizing lean manufacturing principles, and be capable of motivating their team to be involved in these improvements. This is a second shift position, though initial training will occur over a one month time period on first shift. This is a full time (minimum 40 hours per week) position. Must be able to work occasional overtime during the week or on weekends to support customer demands.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 4 years of direct leadership experience in an high-tempo operational setting
  • Experience with lean implementation and information technology systems
  • Strong leadership, problem solving, and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Thorough knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office
  • Strong team and individual developmental skills (Coaching for Success)
  • Ability to think strategically and determine long-term impact of decisions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions to achieve goals of improved efficiency and lower assembly costs
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position requires the ability to obtain a Secret clearance within one year of start date

Desired Skills:

  • Previous or current security clearance
  • Experience working in an engineering environment and reading engineering prints
  • Understanding of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and FOD reduction/prevention methods

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferred STEM
