Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) has an immediate opening for a Windows Server Administrator to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. The qualified candidate will work with technical engineers in building and supporting the Microsoft server environment and developing automation strategies in support of digital technology operations. This position is based in St. Petersburg, FL.
The successful candidate has well-rounded hands-on experience, ability to analyze requirements, provide operational support, and should be able to provide identification/fixes for the problems identified within existing systems, design/implementations of new systems, support operating system and application installation, configuration, upgrades and patching.
This role will include, but is not limited to the following tasks:
- Build, configure, and administrate all aspects of Microsoft Server 2008/2012/2016/2019
- Must be able to apply security hardness according to DISA STIG requirements
- Build, configure, and administrate Microsoft SCCM.
- Be able to export/import SCCM content from connected networks to multiple disconnected networks.
- Build, configure, and administrate Microsoft SCOM and Orchestrator.
- Design and modify group policy objects.
- Manage users and groups accordingly.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and management of Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and later
- Performs system backups and recovery, maintains data files and monitors system performance and configuration to ensure data integrity.
- Creates and/or Assists in the development, review and evolution of Backup/Archiving Standard Operating Systems Procedures (SOPs) and related documentation.
- Provide assistance in managing the existing VMware infrastructure.
- Updating and Managing the Customer specific system images and deploying via MDT/PXE
- Provide planned and unplanned after-hours support
- Assure a high level of reliability and performance through systems monitoring and infrastructure management.
- Analyze system faults, troubleshoot, and runs diagnostic tests on operating systems and hardware to detect problems.
- Interfacing with vendors for trouble calls.
- Respond to online service requests from users
- Ensure server and application compliance with security and performance requirements (DFARS, RMF, NIST Cybersecurity Framework)
- Install, Convert, and upgrade systems
- Develop, revise, and maintain technical and operational documentation (including procedures) to continually improve our computing environments
- Maintain and grow technical competence in multiple areas (such as Windows, Linux, virtualization, User Authentication, DNS, NFS, system imaging/build automation)
- Ensuring that all the Information Assurance (IA) software security patches and version and virus signature file updates are up to date
- Maintenance of system and data security processes and applications such as virus scanning, auditing, collection of audit logs, system scripts and data collections scripts
- Assisting in development and update of system administration procedures
- Supporting Disaster Recovery and incident response exercises as required
- Ensuring that configuration changes follow the change approval process
Please note that an active U.S. Dept. of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance is required as of day one of employment, except in rare cases, only US Citizens are eligible to obtain Security Clearances.

Required Skills:
- 4+ years Windows Server experience supporting production environments.
- Experience implementing BItlocker.
- Experience with MS SQL Server, SQL queries, stored procedures and SQL tuning
- Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services.
- Proven experience with Powershell scripting.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with SCCM.
- Proficient in creating SCCM deployment packages and task sequences to automate application deployment.
- Knowledge of file sharing protocols CIFS, SMB and NFS
- Good knowledge of HTML and JavaScript.
- Willingness to travel (<10%).
- Current DoD 8570 certifications (e.g. Security + CE, or CISSP, etc.)
- Must possess an active US DoD Secret Security Clearance (DOD), except in rare cases, only US Citizens are eligible to obtain US Security Clearance.

- McAfee / HBSS / ePO experience.
- Symantec knowledge.
- Splunk knowledge.
- Ivanti Endpoint Security Device Control knowledge.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
Required Education (including Major):
- BS/BA Degree in Computer Science or a related field; OR significant directly applicable professional experience in lieu of a BS will be considered at the hiring manager's discretion.
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSE) preferred.
