Job Description: Subject Matter Expert / Manufacturing Support Engineer
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Member of Raytheon Polska Engineering staff based in Warsaw, Poland engaged across IFF antenna, Support Equipment and Launcher IPTs
- Support partner development of Technical Data Package (TDP), and Manufacturing Data Package (MDP) optimization
- Support partner manufacturability reviews
- Engage with partner transition from design to production, mitigating technical and performance risk by participating in engagements which will include requirements reviews, documenting recommended risk mitigation/opportunity activities as they relate to design and manufacturing, review and disposition of SDRLs/SIRs
- Participate in partner RESA activities
- Support Special Process qualification audits
- Support weld fixture development and prove out related to Launcher IPT
- Support Test Readiness Review (TRR) and Ship Readiness Review (SRR) across multiple Polish partner companies
- Evaluate Change Notice (CN) requests from partners to determine path forward
- Engineering support to offset projects for Poland Patriot
- Requires extensive travel between Polish partners primarily based in the Warsaw, Gdansk, Debica, Tarnow, Katowice, Stalowa Wola, and Rzeszow areas.
This position is located in Warsaw, Poland
Required Skills:
- 6+ years of experience in production and/or engineering support environment related to Manufacturing Data Package creation
- Experience with current manufacturing systems and processes
- Experience in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and other technical material and then translating into practical procedural instructions
- Experience in transition from design to production
- Experience supporting international subcontractors in a production environment where timely responses are needed
- Ability to work closely with a cross functional team, with representatives from Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Mission Assurance, IPT Leadership, Program Management teams
- Candidate must be bilingual with Polish native tongue and English language written and verbal, to a B2 minimum level
Desired Skills:
- Working knowledge of Military and Commercial Specifications
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
- Must be adaptable and willing to work in all project phases from concept and design through manufacturing
- Experience in production of complex systems
- Experience as a technical liaison between engineering, manufacturing and quality organizations
- Demonstrated technical, communication, and leadership skills
- Proven Multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Advocate for process improvement, team builder and able to build strong relationships with partner and internal resources
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations or equivalent
