Systems Integration Engineer
Location: Washington DC area, St. Louis, MO, Tampa, FL, or Richardson, TX
Raytheon Technologies is currently hiring a Systems Integration Engineer. The successful candidate will fulfill the roles and responsibilities below:
- Manages the health and maintenance of the Windows 2012/2016 and Red Hat 6/7 VMs our applications reside on
- Coordinates server patching activities with the hardware infrastructure contract team (ITEMS-DCS)
- Coordinates with our cybersecurity engineer on any needed STIGs, patch updates, etc.
- Manages the overall configuration of our operations and dev/test environments
- Primary technical liaison with the NGA Cloud Office for our AWS instances used in our dev/test environment
- Primary technical liaison with the hardware infrastructure contract team for any server issues on our virtualized environment (ops)
- Coordinates with our Tier 2 ops team (Tampa) to ensure all applications are running properly and diagnoses any server/system-related issues. Creates and investigates any required Incident Tickets
- Assists with the integration of new applications as they are added to the NODC system:
- Coordinates with the new developer to obtain the software build
- Determines how to install and checkout the new application, creates new Splash Links, and make the new application available for users (requests server certs, DNS entries, etc.)
- Assists with the submission of any required Firewall Change Requests (FCRs)
- Manages the STIG effort for our operations and dev/test environments
- Installs all software licenses, as needed.
- Installs all server certs, as needed
- Applies any DNS changes, as needed
- Establishes new FTP paths, file folders for any new data feeds
- Coordinates with the authentication services contract team for any user authentication issues
- Attends/supports Daily Scrums, Peer Reviews
Required Skills and Experience:
- Must have and maintain a current active TS/SCI (w/CI Poly) clearance required
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems/Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or IT related degree and six (6) years of prior relevant experience OR Master’s degree and four (4) years of prior relevant experience.
- Security+ certification is required
- Experience in maintaining Windows servers and Linux servers
- Experience in scripting (JSON, Powershell)
- Experience in patching Windows 2016 and RH 6/7 servers and applying STIGs to operational systems
- Experience in deploying COTS/GOTS applications into operational environments
- Experience in investigating and solving Tier 3 issues
- Fundamental understanding of how applications are integrated in a virtualized hosting environment (VHE)
- Hands-on experience in deploying and maintaining applications in a mission critical operational environment.
- Broad knowledge of the interrelationship of ISP and ASP from an engineering perspective.
- Relevant vendor training and practical experience deploying software at digital libraries or a data center to include, but not limited to: Linux/Windows Server Operating Systems, VMWare Virtualization Suites and Tools, PostGRES Database Management, HTML 5.0.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of communications, imagery delivery systems, GEOINT cataloging, discovery, and retrieval as well as Intelligence Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) systems is desired.
- Experience with geospatial server technology including ArcGIS Server and Oracle Spatial is also desired.
Clearance Requirement:
- Current TS/SCI (w/CI Poly) clearance required
Required Education:
