We are currently seeking a Hardware Design/Production Support Electrical Engineer I to join the Radar Receiver Exciter Integrated Product Team in Tewksbury, MA. This team designs, develops, integrates, and tests the Radar Receiver Exciter hardware for the combat proven RMD Raytheon Missile Defense systems.

The Receiver, Exciter, and Signal Processing (RESP) Department is the focal point for receiver, exciter, beam steering, and signal processing technology. The department is responsible for the design, development, integration, support to production builds and lifecycle support. There is flexibility for the engineers in the RESP department to move across design disciplines and to experience all the stages in the product’s development lifecycle.

We are looking for candidates to collaborate and coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to proactively and efficiently resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration.

The Electrical engineer Hardware Design andProduction Support will be expected to perform the following:

  • Troubleshoot hardware and process issues down to Circuit Card Assembly (CCA)/Module and component levels to include analog, radio frequency (RF),digital, and power circuitry and interfaces
  • Work with senior engineers to resolve hardware issues on production lines
  • Work with senior engineers to define root cause and corrective action investigations and presentation of findings to the integrated product team

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting Production and/or Test of electrical sub-systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of circuits with demonstrated knowledge of associated measurement equipment.
  • Familiarity with RF test equipment such as Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers and Power Meters
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific discipline. Advance degree desirable.

  • Outstanding academic credentials
  • Ability to develop test plans/methodologies
  • Experience with testing and troubleshooting RF and Microwave component/subsystem such as up-converters, down converters, power amplifiers, waveform generators, RF modulators, and limiters
