Raytheon Missiles & Defense is the world’s largest missile producer responsible for the design, test, manufacturer, and support of weapon systems supporting our US Warfighter and international allies. Every missile system contains a set of advanced and purpose designed electrical subsystems. These enable the guidance, navigation, RF communication, signal processing, target detection and tracking system functions. The Electrical Product Team - Subsystems Center is responsible for all aspects of these subsystems design, test and production.
The RF & Navigation Engineering organization has a need for a Section Head responsible for first line management of a group of 6-10 RF and Electrical Engineers who have varying levels of experience and diverse domain expertise with various RF subsystems including Data Link subsystems.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
The specific responsibilities and duties include:
The successful candidate will manage engineers who are involved with development of deliverable RF subsystems over the entire engineering development lifecycle. This leader will also contribute directly to development and other technical efforts as a task lead or individual contributor. Although the section staff will typically work on independent projects, the Section Head will foster collaboration and cross-fertilization of ideas and new technologies within the group.
The Section Head’s duties will occupy an average of ~15% time. The other ~ 85% time will be spent on a combination of contractual, IR&D, marketing, and business development activities.
