Job Description:
The Technical Support Engineer II is responsible for executing a variety of mechanical fabrication support efforts while collaborating in an integrated team environment with fellow Support Engineers, and internal and external engineering customers. The Technical Support Engineer will work within the mechanical fabrication shop to develop the best methods for implementing builds to meet customer requirements and is responsible for all aspects of the build including material procurement, setup, and equipment control and monitoring, and will be responsible for providing status to the customer. The Technical Support Engineer will report to the Bike Shop Mechanical Fabrication Manager within the Systems Integration & Test Directorate. The candidate will work in a Multi-Program controlled area.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within one (1) year of start date.

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement.
