Raytheon Technologies Technologies has an opportunity for a highly skilled Radar Systems Engineer. In this role, you will perform Radar functional and performance analysis of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). You will also provide BMDS performance analysis utilizing large-scale complex BMDS Modeling and Simulation tools and utilize the results in support of MDA Ground Test and Flight Test events. Lead and coordinate analysis activities and products with group leads, senior management, and government personnel responsible for executing analysis tasks. You will document analysis results in reports and briefings to be presented to internal stakeholders and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) representatives. May lead analysis teams and will serve as a mentor to less experienced team members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support Ground Test and Flight Test activities
  • Lead and conduct peer reviews
  • Generate test documentation (Test Plan, Test Reports, etc)

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years’ systems engineering or relevant experience
  • Experience interfacing and presenting the MDA customer
  • Experience in a leadership capacity
  • Understanding of radar signal and data processing
  • Experience as a radar systems engineer
  • Experience in radar systems test environments and in development of test scripts and procedures
  • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity X-Band radar technology (such as AN/TPY-2, SBX, etc.)
  • Strong MATLAB knowledge and experience
  • Familiarity with Early Warning radar technology (UEWR, Cobra Dane, etc)
  • Experience with root cause analysis of radar systems and interoperability
  • Some demonstrated team leadership experience
  • Candidates with current Secret clearance
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or related technical discipline

Required Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) or related discipline 160302
