RIS Hardware & Infrastructure (HWI) Engineering leads the mechanical and electrical hardware design and analysis, development and production of DoD, international military and Commercial Off the Shelf COTS Systems. The Hardware and Infrastructure organization located in Colorado Springs, CO is currently seeking an Infrastructure Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead for their Infrastructure and COTS development team. The individual is responsible for staffing to program plans, schedule definition and execution, technical design & direction using DevOps tools and processes, Earned Value Management System (EVM) status reporting, risk and opportunity definition and management, and coordination with other discipline leads to ensure program success. The Infrastructure IPT Lead will assume leadership responsibilities for a diverse team of subject matter experts responsible for design, integration, and delivery of platform, storage, network, COTS, and security components supporting software development, test, and operational activities. You should be a highly motivated “self-starter” able to lead by example, possessing strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 8 yrs experience in program infrastructure development, integration, and delivery lifecycle
  • Ability to provide technical direction to the HW&I team for design and implementation activities using COTS-based solutions
  • Knowledge of both traditional and private/public cloud infrastructure designs
  • Experience adopting and implementing DevOps tools and processes (Infrastructure build automation, container orchestration, continuous integration pipelines)
  • Skilled at leading and directing activities of direct report staff
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) certification
  • Project management experience
  • Experience developing detailed infrastructure design artifacts
  • Excellent Interpersonal and Multi-tasking Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with Information Assurance (IA) compliance to specified standards
  • Industry technical certifications ( CCNA, CISSP, VCA, etc)
  • An active DoD or federal agency security clearance

Education Requirements:

Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with emphasis in Mechanical Engineering, or related STEM degree program from an Accredited University/School/College and 8+ years of related work experience.
