Raytheon Intelligence & Space is seeking a highly motivated Systems Administrator to join a mature program in the Sterling VA location. The qualified Systems Administrator will support a very dynamic program in a world-class operations facility and must have a broad range of experience supporting mission critical network and computer systems.

Required Skills

  • Experience implementing & supporting enterprise-class Linux Servers and Virtualization Technologies
  • Understanding of Linux operating system (Centos, RHEL) and server hardware
  • Configure, and maintain virtual server environments
  • Knowledgeable in, but not limited to, the following programming languages JAVA, C++, Python, C, and other versions of scripting
  • Experience in using communication protocols to include, Modbus TCP/IP and RTU, SNMP, RS-485
  • Basic understanding of various PLC logic and programming software such as RSLogix, SIMATIC, and Unity software suites
  • Knowledge in device/equipment integration into graphical user interfaces (GUI) for monitoring systems, utilizing various software suites
  • Experience with Linux OS builds, installation and configuration
  • Experience with network troubleshooting and configuration
  • An openness to OCONUS travel
  • Current TS/SCI with polygraph

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of RHEL/CentOS Linux operating systems and CISCO
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL databases
  • Experience in Networking and device/equipment configuration (DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, sub netting, TCP/IP, SSH, NFS)
  • Knowledge of Windows Server Technologies
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and LDAP
  • Knowledge of automation, orchestration and configuration management
  • Knowledge of Wonderware ArchestrA & Intouch programming
  • Knowledge of Data Center Infrastructure Management software suites

Required Education (including Major):

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, System Engineering, Computer Science, or other related field and eight (8) years of experience. Experience may be substituted for education.
