BBN Technologies Corp, has an opening for a Contracts Manager (G10) supporting a variety of business focus areas, including the Physical Sciences and Systems group and the Network and Cyber Technologies Group. The position is a key member of the business formation and business management teams within BBN. BBN has a long history of science and technological innovation that dates back to its founding in 1948.
What will you do
In this role, the individual will be responsible for participation in the requirements analysis of Request for Proposals (RFP) and Broad Agency Announcements, proposal reviews and coordination, contract negotiation, contract administration, non-disclosure agreements and other business agreements and contracts with the U.S. Government, commercial, and academic clients. The position offers broad exposure to a multitude of procurement types (CPFF, T&M, FFP), other transactions, and grant vehicles. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is BBN’s largest customer. Responsibilities will include working closely with Program Managers and Scientists, Finance, Global Trade, and other program functions to construct and submit technical and cost proposals to win new business; to negotiate terms and conditions, cost and price; and, to manage contracts after award. The Contracts Manager will be an integral part of the business team and will attend Proposal and Program Reviews, providing advice, insight, recommendations, and support to senior management regarding contractual and business issues, ensuring that negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies, and guiding management on contractual rights and obligations and mitigation of contractual/program risks.

What you need
BA/BS in Business, or related field; JD or MBA a plus.
Eight or more years of experience in contract administration
A proven track record of success in contracting with an intimate understanding of terms and conditions
Ability to understand the financial aspects of contracts and other business arrangements as well as the ability to contribute to negotiation strategies
Effective communicator both orally and in writing with strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead and work within a team and to foster teamwork and trust
Capable of multi-tasking and handling several assignments
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Focus on responsiveness with strong time management and organizational skills
Knowledge FAR, DFARS, and ITAR
Position may require some amount of overnight travel.
Final DoD Top Secret clearance
Additional skills that would be awesome
Advanced degree is a plus
Computer proficiency, experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and shared databases
SCI eligible
Personnel Management experience of a small team
