Raytheon Missiles & Defense is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) who will perform as a member of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) organization and be responsible for supporting and working Customer Proposal and Program Start-Up / Execution efforts in the Advanced Technology (AT) Mission Area.

The successful MPM is the liaison between the program office, engineering, operations, quality, contracts, finance and the supply chain organization and is responsible to ensure the successful development, coordination and execution of all program requirements and material strategies are being met and Program/Product Line business objectives are achieved.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Working closely with Program Management, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Engineering, Quality, Production Control and Procurement to ensure successful supplier management and execution in supporting program needs and requirements
  2. Develop and execute Material Strategies which support Customer requirements and meet Program objectives
  3. Generating Supplier Request for Proposals / Quotes (RFP’s / RFQ’s)
  4. Gate Review preparation and/or support
  5. Supporting Prime Contract Proposal activities for Suppliers and SCM BOE’s
  6. Identifying Customer Prime Contract Flow-Downs and obtaining any required Terms Attachments (T-Attachments) and/or Modifications
  7. Obtaining, understanding and processing Supplier proposals/quotes
  8. Assisting with the generation of Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW’s)
  9. Generating and processing Supplier New Add / Re-Activation requests
  10. Generate and manage SCM Material Sales, Estimate At Completion (EAC) and Risk & Opportunities
  11. Purchase Order Place Plan generation and update
  12. Purchase Requisition generation and Purchase Order placement and management
  13. Line of Balance (LOB) execution and maintenance
  14. Lead Make/Buy decisions and affordability efforts for program material
  15. Assist and/or Lead negotiations on Material with Suppliers and/or the Customer
  16. Preparing and executing Material Program Plans (MPPs)
  17. Participate in supplier engagements and reviews to ensure a healthy, effective, efficient and successful supply base
  18. Generating mitigations and/or resolving issues impacting/effecting all of the above

Required Education (including Major):

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain or similar

Required Skills & Experience:

  • A minimum of eight (8) years progressive experience in a similar role which can include a combination of Supply Chain, Contracts, Operations, Production Control, Program Planner, Material Estimating, and/or Finance experience is required
  • Current, Active Secret security clearance
  • Experience with Prime Contract Requirements and Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Experience with Supplier Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Experience with Supply Chain / Production Control / Procurement processes and requirements
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • U.S. Citizenship

Desired Education, Skills & Experience:

  • Masters’ Degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain or similar
  • Active Top Secret security clearance
  • MPM Certification
  • Enterprise Sourcing and Performance Excellence (ESPX) Aptitude
  • Estimating, proposal, Negotiation and/or capture experience
  • Meeting commitments, accomplishing goals & delivering results
  • Strong Presentation Skills and able to interface with all levels of internal management, supplier management and the external customer
  • Ability to work in a dynamic technology driven developmental environment subject to change
  • Ability to work in a cross functional Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment managing multiple priorities
