The System Integration and Test Directorate is responsible for integration, test and validation activities for RMD Programs. System Integration and Test employees provide the expertise to ensure customer success through the development and execution of innovative and comprehensive test, verification, and validation strategies, processes, tools and techniques. System Integration and Test employees are involved in all aspects of test including: design-for-test, integration, subsystem and component level testing, and sell-off of RMD’s most sophisticated systems and technologies. Our System Engineers work with other RMD Engineering disciplines from development of initial system concepts to product sell-off. We integrate hardware and software, develop test plans and procedures, debug and test system functions and interfaces, and verify system requirements in support of final selloff to the customer.

Opportunity currently exists within the Air Defense Systems department in Andover MA for a second shift role in the Patriot Test Facility- Andover (PTF-A). This role is the primary site support on second shift in the PTF-A, responsible for providing users with the operational, troubleshooting, and equipment knowledge necessary to execute their test objectives. This role is also responsible for the operation of the simulation equipment, including the Flight Mission Simulator.

This position can be a Salary Grade G08 or G09 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position. This is a second shift position

Job Description:

Responsibilities include:

  • Operations of the Patriot test assets in the PTF-A, including equipment configuration
  • Operations of the simulation equipment, including the Flight Mission Simulator
  • Ensuring compliance with security and safety procedures during second shift
  • Collaboration with multi-faceted teams in the configuration, operation, testing, and troubleshooting of the test assets and simulation equipment to support test objectives

Required Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or science curriculum
  • Minimum of four (4) + years overall engineering experience.
  • Experience in the operation, test and troubleshooting of complex military systems
  • Experience and interest in working with lab equipment and measurements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow security and safety procedures
  • Active Secret clearance or interim secret clearance prior to start date. Except in rare circumstances, only US citizens are eligible for clearance.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with the operations and maintenance of the Patriot system
  • Experience with the operations and maintenance of the Flight Mission Simulator.
  • Experience with software/systems integration planning and execution
  • Experience with Linux
  • Certified Six Sigma Specialist.
  • Ability to work well in teams
  • Experience with data analysis, including basic use of MATLAB

Required Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related engineering disciplines.
