The Space Systems RF and Communications Electronics department is seeking an experienced Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) for a sizeable FPGA/ASIC development effort for the Gladiator program.

Applying advanced technical principles and concepts to develop FPGA and ASIC designs based on defined system architectures, the IPT Lead will manage a multi-disciplinary group of engineers as well as interface with operations and supply chain. The IPT Lead develops and administers budgets, schedules, and performance standards. The IPT Lead achieves milestones on-time and within allotted budget while managing his/her staff and keeping them accountable. He/she identifies issues and risks early, proactively resolves issues that impede program progress, obtains assistance when needed and thus allowing core staff to concentrate on their Work Products at hand. He/she will be responsible for completing financial Estimate at Complete (EAC), program Gate reviews, monthly Program Management Reviews, and facilitate independent Peer reviews of all Work Products. He/she will also participate in new business activities including proposals, preparing bids, and developing basis of estimates.

The IPT Lead shall act independently, guided only by very broad company policies and objectives. The IPT Lead shall be able to apply advanced principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems requiring coordination of technologies across program requirements. The IPT Lead shall lead briefings and technical meetings for internal and external stakeholders / customers.

Required Skills:

  • At least 10 years of professional experience in the industry
  • At least 4 years of demonstrated project leadership including cost, schedule, and technical responsibility of complex military electronics subsystems
  • Experience leading electronics development valued at >$25M (labor and material)
  • At least 10 Years participating in the design, development, and production of complex military electronics subsystems
  • Earned Value / Control Account Manager Certified
  • Experience developing and maintaining complex integrated master schedules
  • Experience with Department of Defense acquisition processes
  • Experience with developing technical baselines and cost volumes in response to Request for Proposals from the government
  • Active DoD Security Clearance, with ability to obtain SSBI required
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience designing embedded processors and FPGAs
  • Familiar with VHDL
  • Familiar with Factory Test Equipment Development and/or experience in ASIC development for space programs
  • Strong working knowledge of Earned Value Management methods are also highly desired
  • Patents and publications are also a plus

Required Education:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or very close equivalent discipline and at least eight to ten years of relevant experience in electronics design (power preferred), including at least five years of design for military applications.

Desired Education:

  • Master in Electrical Engineering, Physics or close equivalent discipline is a plus.
