Atlas is currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team located in Austin, TX. Come join us!

As a Senior Accountant, you’ll have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and be prepared to reconcile account balances, maintain the general ledger, and execute month-end closing procedures. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Senior Accountant will work with many groups within the Company, both internally and externally, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, FP&A, Fleet, IT, Fixed Asset and Lease Management, as well as our external auditors. We’re looking for someone with strong Excel skills, detail-oriented, highly organized, the ability to meet deadlines and collaborate well throughout our Finance team and across functions. 

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Prepare and record various journal entries including accruals, reclasses, and other month end activity.
  • Perform month end account reconciliations.
  • Perform month end close activities.
  • Manage and maintain general ledger accuracy, ensuring all chart of account codes are used appropriately.
  • Assist with audit.
  • Prepare various financial reports as required.
  • Perform other accounting duties and support other team members as required or assigned.

Requirements

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA designation is a preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
  • 2+ years of audit experience with a public accounting firm required
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with working in ERP Systems
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Some travel required.
