Procurement Coordinator Sign In OCONUS-Iraq- Baghdad More (-9) Apply View Application More (-9) Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the World                 Procurement Coordinator         Procurement Coordinator  will perform full range of acquisition functions from acquisition planning, submittal of  Procurement Requests (PR’S), soliciting, negotiation, Purchase Order (PO)  administration in accordance with the FAR.   Job holder will conduct market research and makes telephonic or electronic  inquiries to local and international firms on the availability and price of items and maintains databases and records relating to purchases, procurement documents and correspondence in accordance with office filing procedures. Responsibilities: Work independently with minimal supervision under the direction of the Procurement /SubContracts Coordinator to review Statements of Work in accordance with company policies, format and requirements and the FAR Receives and reviews purchase requisitions for clarity, compliance, detail, completeness, and obtains additional information considered necessary Compiles lists of sources of procurement, to develop requests for information, quotations, proposals and invitations to bid and interviews potential suppliers Review and perform analysis of responses to solicitations, to include conformity to Statement of Work, delivery terms, payment terms, and other terms and conditions of the procurement. Proposes to requester comparable product substitutions consistent with the requirements to achieve cost savings Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best total value procurement Extracts and compiles data contained in quotations/proposals/bids to determine which supplier can deliver at best possible terms for the Organization with due consideration to quality, delivery time, prompt payment and other discounts, shipping costs and other factors Prepares and maintains a complete Purchase Order file in accordance with written guidelines and defined processed to support the complete procurement cycle Effectively understand, apply and be able to enforce FAR requirements throughout procurement process Maintains contacts with vendors/suppliers to ensure proper adherence to the terms and conditions outlined in the Purchase Order and associated terms and conditions Resolves discrepancies between purchase orders and receipt documents and invoices Review and Approve invoices to be forwarded to the Accounting department for payment. Prepare and maintain Purchase Order Files, Purchase Order logs and multiple reports directly related to the procurement status, to include, but not limited to the tracking and maintenance of the payment process Respond to Supplier inquiries, maintain open line of communication with requester, and provide status to Management on all assigned procurement activity Plan, organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks to perform job functions in an orderly, efficient manner Review, proofread, and verify forms and financial documents for accuracy in calculation, coding, and adherence to policies and procedures Identify problems, analyze alternatives, and develop viable recommendations. Read, comprehend and interpret written materials of moderate to complex difficulty Compose written materials of moderate to complex difficulty on procurement-related issues. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of assignment Communicate in a group environment in order to conduct pre-bid conferences Perform detailed contractual and financial work with a high degree of accuracy Other duties and special projects as assigned EXPERIENCE: 3+ years experience in handling procurement related responsibilities; Familiarity with and knowledge of the FAR Drafting statements of work for service/supply vendors Ability to clearly and concisely articulate services/requirements in writing Good knowledge of local market practices, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment are required Demonstrate problem solving and organization skills Work across various functions and disciplines of supply chain management (SCM) and operations is required Demonstrate analytical skills, researching skills, strong MS Office Suite skills and possess the drive to learn new computer tools REQUIRED: Education : A high school diploma or equivalent Citizenship:  US citizenship is not requierd Security Vetting : Must obtain a favorable MRPT (Moderate Risk Public Trust) and must maintain eligibility at the required security level for the duration of the contract Language Skills:  Strong professional English communication skills, both oral and written.
