Job Description Details

The Project Manager II prioritizes and manages high impact projects, initiatives, testing, and implementation occurring across their designated department or organization. Working independently and leveraging their experience, they will fully scope new projects and work with stakeholders to ensure the resources are available to complete a project within the constraints of cost, quality, capacity, and deadlines. The role interacts with multiple departments and cross-functional stakeholders, including software development, network and systems engineering, and product development to deliver solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Leads medium to large scale projects, manages projects simultaneously.
  • Manages project from inception to implementation within defined deadlines, scope, and budgetary requirements to achieve intended project result.
  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Track projects and communicates status updates regularly with stakeholders.
  • Independently identifies barriers and lead efforts to remove them.
  • Mitigate risk on a project and ensure project stays within scope.
  • Understand complex technical requirements and effectively influences stakeholders to ensure projects are fully resourced. 
  • Leads cross-functional teams in the execution of projects.
  • Independently identifies resources (people, financial, time, technology) necessary to execute projects and influence stakeholders to obtain those resources.
  • Identifies the financial impact of initiatives to accurately prioritize.
  • Coaches and mentors to Project Coordinator and Project Manager I roles. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years’ experience in project management.
  • Project Manager Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience leading projects or initiatives involving teams or multiple stakeholders. 
  • Must have demonstrated experience effectively utilizing project management tools and software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite, Visio, Confluence, and JIRA preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience scoping and leading complex projects in a business environment and effectively managing deadlines. 
  • Must possess proven experience developing project plans, creating project road maps, and managing project schedules .
  • Must possess a high degree of business acumen and an ability to effectively communicate with senior level leaders.
  • Must possess exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills in addition to a high degree of attention to detail. 
  • Must have an ability to be diplomatic and influence stakeholders to meet project objectives.
