Job Summary: As part of the Product Operations team, the Junior Project Manager – Product Operations helps drive delivery of new projects at Equinix, the world’s largest data center and interconnection provider. You will collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the industry and enjoy a competitive package, great benefits and a creative work environment.

You will bridge the technical and business worlds as you help deliver services that our customers love. You have a bias toward hands-on action and can break down complex problems into steps that drive product delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver projects for Equinix products, and may support cross functional projects as needed
  • Develop project plan/task list using appropriate planning tool(s)
  • Liaise with functional teams working with information and direction obtained from more experienced colleagues on tasks and activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to drive the execution of project tasks and deliverables
  • Understand and lead key partners across functional areas, and is able to map out partner lists and keep them informed
  • Communicates with a broader group of partners beyond the project team. The communication tools and templates used (i.e. emails, status reports) require approval and feedback from more senior colleagues.
  • Assemble a list of project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies for their project
  • Produce schedules of activities based on people availability
  • Identify problems which may require special attention
  • Create, maintain and report high-level project dashboards and metrics

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of project management methods and tools
  • Ability to build trusted relationships
  • Excellent influential interpersonal skills (verbal, written and presentation)
  • Thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and can track multiple, complex projects simultaneously
  • Experience with ISO, PCI-DSS, SOC standards is a plus
  • Can do attitude, great teammate, fun and energetic
  • 1+ years of project management experience preferred
  • Diploma to a bachelor’s degree preferred
