Business Systems and Operations Manager - Norton Business Unit Mountain View, CA - all locat More (-9) Apply Apply with LinkedIn View Application More (-9) Overview Symantec's Norton Business Unit is seeking talented individuals to solve the most pressing and challenging business problems as part of the Business Operations team.  The team is at the center of accelerating Norton’s ability to deliver on its strategy and financial goals by establishing best-in-class processes, systems and tools and leading business enablement projects.  Business Operations projects may span from initial strategy formulation to enabling execution, while partnering closely with executive leaders and cross-functional stakeholders. Responsibilities The Business Systems Operations Manager will act as an interface between business and technical teams to understand business needs, define requirements and implement new business processes, tools and systems. The ideal candidate is energetic, flexible, independent and highly organized, has strong technical, project management, communication and influence skills, and brings a combination of business acumen and technical architecture understanding.   The breath of the role requires partnering with all functions (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, eBusiness, Support, Eng, and Product Management, etc.) within the Norton Business Unit and across Symantec (Shared Services organization  - IT, HR, Finance, etc.). The role will report to the Sr. Manager of Business Operations. Responsibilities include: Process and Systems Implementation Work with business stakeholders to understand needs and define requirements Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications Engage technical resources to scope, assess and develop solutions Develop new business policies and re-engineer processes Facilitate change management by developing and executing communications plans, assigning roles and defining accountabilities, facilitating trainings, etc. Drive adoption of changed or new processes and systems Domain Expertise Ability to influence at all levels and across all functions by developing a creditable reputation and providing domain expertise Advise stakeholder with deep knowledge of Go-To-Market operations within a consumer and subscription business model Project Management Manage business enablement projects, programs and operational activities Coordinate and facilitate meetings with diverse business and technical stakeholders Track and report progress toward key milestones and deliverables Analysis and Problem Solving Manage collection and organization of large data set; investigate root causes of problems Identify solutions, evaluate costs and benefits, develop recommendations and build business cases This individual will interface with numerous cross-functional internal groups at all levels of management and must be able to quickly form productive and positive working relationships with staff with varying business and technical experience. Qualifications 8-10 years of cross-functional experience managing Business – IT Projects and Business Process Projects; PMI or similar certification a plus Previous technology consulting experience with a top-tier technology consulting firm (i.e. Accenture, Deloitte, KPMG) Knowledge of CRM (e.g., ERP (e.g. Oracle) and Sales & Marketing technologies and development methodologies Identified as a high-performer with leadership potential Demonstrated ability to manage and influence cross functional teams, as well as bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences Broad financial, analytical, and business acumen and structured problem solving skills Experience in business policy development, process engineering and continuous improvement Excellent oral and written communications skills and ability to interact with and present to all levels of management Self starter with sharp decision making skills, ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced and changing environment Bachelors degree in a business or technical discipline required, MBA preferred INDENGR ~ ====================​====================​ Symantec is an equal opportunity employer.
