Processes, schedules and plans materials orders.


  • Processes, schedules, and coordinates assigned requests for the materials department. 
  • Establishes lead times and negotiates acceptable customer delivery dates. 
  • Processes materials orders and creates work orders based on material availability and customer request.
  • Understanding of on time delivery and strong penchant to keep to schedule
  • Work as a liaison with order management to provide production/shipping dates when requested
  • Maintain planning parameters in SAP – such as work order dates and exceptions messages.
  • Execute, support and communicate with the manufacturing team to achieve production schedule in order to meet customer expectations.
  • Tracks and updates materials schedules, expedites as required to prevent schedule slippage, and advises Production Manager of deviations from materials plans and forecasts. 
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple product lines responsibility.
  • Follows all 5S practices and supports lean activities, as well as safety regulations policies and procedures.


  • 3+ years’ experience in materials planning in a manufacturing environment
  • Good verbal communications skills - be able to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organizational
  • High degree of proficiency with MS Excel.
  • 2-3 years of experience with any ERP system (SAP is preferred, but not necessarily required).
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain or Management or Business or Engineering or STEM
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, JDE


  • APICS certification
  • SAP experience
