DESCRIPTION:

Under the general direction of the Vice President of Intelligence, the GSSBCM Senior Security and Crisis Management Specialist will actively support the activities of the GSSBCM leadership team and work across group disciplines including Business Continuity, Global Security, and the Chubb Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). One of the Senior Security and Crisis Management Specialist’s main responsibilities will be to apply analytical thinking and processes to Chubb’s GSOC, which plays a central role in the company’s security and incident management processes. 

This position requires an experienced professional who can provide subject matter expertise in incident management and overall corporate security operations. The GSSBCM Senior Security and Crisis Management Specialist is expected to participate in strategic projects and executing on policies, procedures, protocols, and communication methods employed by the GSOC team and other GSSBCM leadership. In addition, this role is responsible for using best practices to identify, analyze, and support all incidents that are either impactive or potentially impactive to business, the brand, and/or employees. The successful candidate will be a problem solver, possess critical thinking skills, and be detail orientated. The Senior Security and Crisis Management Specialist will work collaboratively with GSSBCM Leadership on multiple disciplines, such as investigations, physical security, Business Continuity, and Crisis Management.

The Senior Security and Crisis Management Specialist is expected to work with minimal supervision. This position typically works a standard Monday – Friday schedule, however, s/he is expected to occasionally spend time evaluating GSOC operations at irregular hours. This includes evenings, nights, and weekends. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participates in key GSSSBCM projects, with the ability to develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.
  • Takes an active role in functional related projects which are across GSSBCM, assisting Business Continuity, Global Security and GSOC. The levels of responsibility will vary from consulting to owning projects based on understanding the needs and goals of the organization.
  • Assists with time-sensitive reports and alerts within the GSOC.
  • Creates and performs quality assurance and edits intelligence reports with an analytical mindset.
  • Provides input and recommendations for all GSOC policies and protocols. 
  • Collects information regarding the industry’s ‘best practices’ and evaluate them for inclusion.
  • Constantly seeks areas for improving GSOC effectiveness and functioning.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Over 5 years’ experience with corporate security, information/intelligence analysis, incident management, and/or emergency management operations.
  • Over two years’ experience successfully designing and documenting organizational policies and procedures.
  • Project management experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; capable of consistently editing incident communications that are factual, succinct, and free of grammatical errors.
  • Capable of tactfully working with representatives from all levels of a global, multi-disciplinary organization.
  • Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); SharePoint; Microsoft Outlook; Web-based communications tools and internet-based research.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently or as part of a team while performing work in a sometimes fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects with competing priorities and still deliver high-quality, on-time products.

PREFERRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Management, Homeland Security, International Studies or other related field; Graduate degree strongly preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Experience working in a military or first-response operations center utilizing the National Incident Management System (NIMS), Incident Command System (ICS), or other incident management methodology.
  • Completion of ICS 100 & 200 courses.
  • Experience working outside the United States with multiple nationalities and cultures is a plus; Language proficiency beyond English is strongly preferred.
  • Experience using a geospatial mapping program a plus.
