Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in pre-sales or engineering with relations to data analytics products/solutions.
  • Experience with cloud technology, architectures, relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., HBase/Bigtable, MongoDB etc.).
  • Experience with data management architectures including storage subsystems, high availability, backup/recovery, disaster recovery, performance, scalability, security, monitoring, and database management.
  • Experience in customer-facing role in the enterprise space.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with high availability designs and parallel/horizontal scale-out database architectures.
  • Experience building compelling value propositions and strong commercial proposals.
  • Experience in a regional role demonstrating the ability to lead by influence in an ambiguous environment .
  • Ability to deliver professional business and technical pitch to the c-suite and board levels.
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space.
  • Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and ideas to achieve a broader organizational goal.

As a Technical Solutions Lead, you will be responsible for bringing experience and thought leadership to help set roadmap, mission, and strategy for our Databases products, and offerings. You will be a part of the Solutions and Technology Team and will work closely with strategic account teams and sales leadership to drive solution adoption and activation of the broader community of Databases specialists across APAC. You will combine the competencies of complex, large, and transformative customer agreement structuring support, partner enablement, strategy consulting, agreement structuring, and importantly, databases experience. You will work with aligned sales resources and support cross-functional pursuit teams on opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Create APAC and country specific positioning of Google Cloud’s data analytics, drive the adoption, and conduct technical engagements and pilots around data analytics solutions.
  • Help customer engineers and specialists understand the landscape in each country in the data analytics space. 
  • Advise customers on implementation timelines, change management implications, and related topics.
  • Create solution successes across sub-regions through various dissemination vehicles (e.g., community forums, partner meetups, analyst events, microsites, and newsletters). 
  • Establish relationships with Google Account teams, sales leadership, professional services, product management, solution management, global system integrator partners, and executive staff.
