Job Description

What we're looking for: A Senior Account Executive for MSL's Consumer Brands practice.

What you bring to the table: The SAE candidate will have 3+ years of proven success in PR communications and experience in consumer marketing. As part of our dynamic team, the Senior Account Executive will focus on iconic home and travel brands, including leading large-scale media relations campaigns, events and activations, influencer marketing and more.

The position will be hybrid, based in Chicago or New York and work on a national level with a multi-office team.

What you'll do: As a member of our growing Consumer Brands Practice, the Senior Account Executive will be part of a dynamic account team. The SAE will focus on a mix of Consumer brands from CPG, lifestyle, food & beverage, to name a few. You will be part of leading large scale creative campaigns which include media relations campaigns, events and activations, influencer marketing, social and so much more.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Lead development of innovative, results-oriented, integrated programs that drive business results – with a keen focus on earned media, but ability to advise and support influencer execution is valued
  • Stay current with the latest developments in consumer, home, décor & design, lifestyle and travel trends to craft and create compelling storytelling across earned and influencer; proactively integrate fresh thinking and new approaches to storytelling into every aspect of the business
  • Agile, organized and collaborative working style - demonstrated ability to work against tight timelines and part of cross-discipline agency and client teams
  • Provide client support and relationship management with large consumer brands, being a trusted program lead
  • Responsible for the execution of PR plans and the day-to-day account activities, with a strong focus on national media pitching and media relations, event planning, writing press materials, media monitoring/results tracking and overall client satisfaction
  • Leverage traditional media as well as digital/emerging technologies for PR programming and influencer outreach
  • Build and execute paid influencer programs built of risk-assessed talent, delivering content that ties back to business goals through timely creative
  • Deliver and maintain relationships with broadcast, digital and print media contacts, as well as online and influencer contacts to secure coverage for a variety of clients/brands, including within the home, lifestyle and travel industries
  • Ensure delivery of accurate correspondence and program/campaign materials to client for review or final delivery
  • Provide oversight, guidance and mentorship to junior team members, contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment
  • Support effectively presenting data-based results, leveraging successes to build further work

Requirements/Skills:

  • 3+ years previous experience and a B.A. in Public Relations, Communications or a related discipline
  • Strong media relations/publicist/influencer skills and excellent writing skills
  • A strong understanding of the relationship between traditional public relations and the use of current online/digital technology and social media
  • Great attention to detail, enthusiasm, organization, multi-tasking and desire to be a team player
  • Ability to oversee programs managing up and down to secure results on behalf of clients
  • Experience within home décor, retail or travel will benefit this role, though not required

Compensation Range: $58,500.00 - $92,000.00 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
