To attract the next generation of transformational technologists, Capital is seeking a seasoned recruiting professional to support the continued growth of the Information Technology organization (“ITG”). ITG is the team within Capital Group which is transforming our existing technology and building new tools to support our critical priorities across all functional areas of Capital Group. This recruiting professional will be passionate about our mission to drive greater agility, speed to market and business value.

As a Senior Technical Recruiter, you will play a key role shaping Capital’s future by attracting and hiring a diverse pool of technology talent with a passion to expand your recruitment efforts across a variety of functional areas within Capital Group as needed. You will thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment and have a proven track record of success managing, prioritizing and completing searches with a high sense of urgency. As a member of Capital Group’s Human Resources organization, you will join a team of 200 HR associates working together to attract NextGen talent, evolve our culture, strengthen our organization, develop and engage our associates. Given that talent is Capital’s competitive edge driving the people dimension of our strategy is critically important. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with technology leaders and Human Resources Business Partners on role design to effectively articulate the opportunity in a compelling position description
  • Creating and executing robust search strategies, including extensive research to map targeted talent pools
  • Building and maintaining a network of potential candidates through pro-active market research and on-going relationship management
  • Conducting in-depth interviews using a competency-based assessment model to draw accurate conclusions about alignment with Capital Group’s leadership framework, technical skills and organizational requirements
  • Consulting with hiring managers and other stakeholders throughout the search to provide updates, facilitate candidate debrief discussions and drive to a successful outcome
  • Managing relationships with a network of external partners including retained and research based recruiting firms
  • Participating in broader HR related projects to impact Capital Group’s people strategy, including assessment of best practices in interviewing techniques, and leveraging internal sources of talent


  • 7+ years of recruiting sophisticated technology practitioners for all levels of highly complex and nuanced technical roles; strong preference for experience working for a leading technology organization or technology search practice; flexibility to recruit across functional areas outside of ITG as needed
  • Proven track record of success creating robust recruiting strategies, including D&I initiatives, and leading complex search processes 
  • Adept at proactively identifying and engaging passive talent. Possesses a “talent scout” mentality, which enables us to attract and engage with talented individuals that identify with our mission, values and culture, and partner strategically with leadership to align them with opportunities at Capital
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and expertise in competency-based interviews
  • Exceptional candidate and client management skills as well as a deep understanding of compensation practices
  • Flexible and nimble; ability to quickly pivot with shifting priorities
  • A self-starter with excellent judgment, emotional intelligence and a high degree of integrity. Ability to work effectively with little supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively deliver important messages across a diverse group of associates and senior leaders
  • CTS/ATS experience with sourcing, tracking and managing candidates
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships simultaneously
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to create, measure, and scale the right workflow between candidates, hiring managers, and the recruiting team
  • A desire and demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and identify opportunities for process improvements
