The senior software engineering associate will engage and improve the end-to-end lifecycle of services – from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement – all while scaling through automation and evolving systems by pushing change that improves reliability and velocity. The core responsibilities will be mostly focused on coding and development. Experience with other stages of SDLC and DevOps are nice to have, but the priority/focus will be on back end coding. Experience building scalable software platforms is highly desirable.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including: 

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Understanding of architecture and design across all systems 
  • Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
  • Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages – Core Java is required; C/C++, JavaScript, Python and others are nice to have. Working with scalable database solutions such as NoSQL / Graph Database would be nice to have. Any experience with streaming data frameworks will also be nice to have
  • Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
  • 5+ years of Java software engineering experience to include implementation of highly scalable systems, release management, software configuration, design, development and implementation is required
  • Should be well versed in various operating systems like Linux, Windows, Mac and/or CentOS and be knowledgeable of at least one public cloud service - Amazon Web Services (AWS), MS Azure, Google Cloud…
  • Solid understanding of design patterns such as MVC, Singleton and Factory is required. So is a working knowledge of web servers like Tomcat, HTTP, JBOSS, IIS, WebSphere, WebLogic, and Nginx
  • The core requirement is for significant back end programming experience. Full stack experience including Javascript/Angular/React is desired
