The Reporting Analyst – Platform Technology, reporting to the Application Support Manager - (Reporting & Analytics), will have responsibility for supporting and executing reporting for the Wealth Manager Core Platform Technology managed by the APM team. They will provide insightful analysis through reporting metrics, trends and data intelligence to support transparency amongst the products, systems, and process utilization and ultimately the health and growth of the Wealth Manager’s ecosystem. The Advisor Platform Management (APM) team has accountability for the business strategy and management of Waddell & Reed, Inc. advisor facing technology initiatives. The APM team manages the end-to-end technology solutions related to processing, advisory products, financial planning, data aggregation, CRMs, other non-core technology applications, and reporting. This team will determine the strategic roadmap, prioritize activities and opportunities, manage 3 rd party relationships, and ensure enhancements and other changes are implemented successfully. Job Duties: Partner with Application Support Manager (Reporting & Analytics) and other resources to help define and execute the strategic roadmap for the Wealth Manager Reporting and Analytic solutions. Lead interaction with business users and analyze user requirements in order to design, develop, and produce actionable insight reporting Evaluate current business reporting for purpose, flow, format, frequency and content in order to develop new, or improve existing format, use, and control Confer with persons originating, handling, processing, or receiving reports to identify problems and to gather suggestions for improvements Evaluate and provide recommendations based on findings, using knowledge of Wealth Manager workflow, operating practices, and business requirements Utilize reporting software and technical skill to generate KPI dashboards/reports and provide actionable recommendations Lead preparation and dissemination of instructions/training materials concerning generation, completion, and distribution of reports according to new or revised practices, procedures, or policies of reports management Recommend establishment of new or modified reporting methods and procedures to improve report content and completeness of information Manage research efforts to identify and correct any/all known data source errors Interface with ETS or other cross functional data sourced teams for report development Other duties as assigned Required Experience: College degree or equivalent 2+ years of Financial Industry experience (Preferred) 2+ years of experience in Salesforce reporting functions including dashboard and report design Experience in Salesforce Einstein (Preferred) 2+ years of experience querying SOQL and relational databases such as Oracle or SQL server using SQL Must have the aptitude and desire to learn new competencies and skills Highly motivated and a self-starter Ability to understand and translate stakeholder needs into reporting requirements Ability to effectively communicate with both business and IT resources at all levels of the organization Effective organization, control and follow-up of work Ability to prioritize and multi-task Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills Strong analytical and documentation skills
