We believe this will ensure all employees are engaged and empowered. Pratt & Whitney – Bridgeport, WV is a recognized leader in the repair and overhaul of jet engines for the aerospace propulsion market, is looking for a Powerplant mechanic.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Your responsibilities would be in one or more of the following areas; disassembly, sub-assembly, balancing, main assembly, test cell operator, packing of engines in the repair and overhaul area.

You will work from manuals, service bulletins and other technical instructions.

Use various hand tools, precision measuring equipment, special tooling and gauges.

Coordinate parts, consumables and non-product material movements.

You will need to have the ability to function as an Assembly and Test Mechanic to ensure standard work and standard methodologies are accomplished while assuring daily targets are met.

You must be fully engaged to support all Continuous Improvement, Quality, EH&S, and overall Operations initiatives and policies to meet companies goals.

You will perform other related duties as assigned and refer team challenges to Supervisor.

8th shift - 5pm-5am , Friday -Sunday

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • prefer Two year technical degree or Associates Degree

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • FAA Powerplant License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Use a variety of gauges and precision measuring instruments Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working on turbofan engines
  • Two year technical degree or Associates Degree
