Position Purpose:

Must be able to produce and evaluate mammography images and related data that are used by physicians to render a medical diagnosis. The Mammographer must acquire and maintain specialized technical skills and medical knowledge to render quality patient care. Must know and perform all clerical/administrative support duties associated within the Department. Should be able to perform the various examinations and procedures as outlined in the department policy and procedure manual. Must be familiar with, and comply with all MQSA regulations. Must know and perform the daily Mammography Quality Control functions. 

Recognizes the purpose of employment is to prioritize the patient as number one, and to put forth the utmost quality as a Technologist. Produce the highest quality of mammograms, maintain records as required, assist physicians with various mammographic procedures as required. Maintain work area in a constant state of readiness. Maintain all appropriate documentation for the FDA and State as required. Comply with all MQSA requirements. Perform all QC and QA controls as required. Maintain all patient information in the Mammstats system for appropriate tracking of mammography follow-ups.
