WHAT TO EXPECT

In your new role as a Software Developer in Test, you’ll be responsible for the validation of feature software for new ECUs; this code can range from vehicle level across multiple ECU’s, to single ECU level depending on product and systems. You’ll also be responsible for the design and development of SW test framework to enable the SW validation, making sure we continue to be at the forefront of our industry.

You’ll be working within Product Engineering across multiple work groups and sub teams, helping to develop processes and tools required for the BENCH AND VEHICLE validation function. In addition you’ll be working with Functional Safety teams to generate safety requirements for testing and documenting all test procedures, working within the tracking system, and ensuring test results traceability.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

To succeed in your new role, you’ll need solid knowledge and experience of Software testing environments. You’ll have good knowledge on complete test process and conditions, and are able to develop and support test framework development. You’ll be creating test tools, use cases, and testing our next generation vehicle architecture as well as participating in product requirement and design reviews. You will be working as part of an agile team, participation in daily scrums, weekly planning sessions and retrospectives. In addition you’ll contribute to the improvement of our test infrastructure and frameworks by building tools.

You’ll have:

• Knowledge of software testing principles and familiar with necessary frameworks in order to fulfil the framework needs of the software test and development teams.
• ISTQB Foundation is an advantage but not necessary.
• Highly skilled in Python development.
• Skilled in Linux development and Continuous Integration Frameworks (GitLab is an advantage)
• Knowledge and experience in testing and development of embedded systems.
• Experience in Labiew or Matlab & Simulink development.
• Knowledge and experience in developing HIL/SIL test systems.
