Summary The Data Quality Analyst focuses on key day-to-day operational activities in supporting both internal and external clients in the Asset Management Technology & Support Services division. The focus on this position will be in data quality, support of third-party data requirements, process improvement, and issue resolution. This is a hands-on role that requires getting into the details, as well as assisting with direct implementation of technology solutions such as automations, scripts, and workflows to improve processes surrounding data quality. The candidate must have a strong aptitude for quickly learning new technologies and applying them to meet various objectives. Our work is highly team oriented and involves close coordination and communication with our clients, data vendors and key business and technology partners. Responsibilities: Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend procedural changes which improve efficiency, reduce risk and strengthen operational controls Define and maintain business requirements, data mapping rules and business logic considerations for seamless integration of data feeds Participate in Operations Support projects/initiatives involving multiple business partners and provide subject matter expertise on security master, analytics, and reference data Work with large data sets from internal and external sources to analyze and validate our vendor reference and analytical data Use a combination of external reconciliation applications and internally built reports to reconcile and validate position data delivered to investment analytical systems Maintain up to date procedures and process flows for validation and clean-up of data Troubleshoot issues associated with our vendor data feeds and engage with our Technology and Business partners to resolve when needed Test process and data UI changes within business application in addition to providing training and support to end-users Ensure the accurate and timely receipt of data and assist in projects to improve the quality of data within the department Requirements: Data analytics, data mining, and data manipulation knowledge Proven aptitude for technology. The ability to quickly learn automation, scripting, system workflows, and other advanced techniques is required. Proven ability to be responsive to changing business needs, manage and prioritize concurrent projects, and handle ambiguity. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Highly organized and detail oriented Strong Interpersonal skills working within a team and more broadly within a department Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel Familiarity with relational database structures, including SQL The ability to work the typical schedule of 7am to 3:30pm Preferred: Experience working in an investment environment Experience supporting a trade order management system Working knowledge of Bloomberg terminal screens and data
