Role overview:

The main purpose of the Project Engineer is to ensure the development foe KA Interior Products, support Program Manager in ensuring all required engineering documents are on time, support in continuous improvement and development of KA interior products as well as support CFT’s to win new business.

This role is based in Coventry Tech Center (CV6)

Main Responsibilities:

  • The contact to the engineering teams of our customers (Key-Contact).
  • A complete description and full understanding of all customer needs on the product.
  • The engineering activities during all project phases.
  • The integration of the product into the customer environment.
  • Ability to manipulate Catia models
  • Supervising the creation of Customer / System drawings.
  • CAD data exchange with customers.
  • Establish and grow engineering contacts with customers.
  • Discuss and describe customer strategies for future developments.
  • Describe customer demands in RVS sheets, benchmark KA products against demands and share information with Functional Teams.
  • Run pre development projects within our customer base
  • Run smaller projects from the pre RFQ to launch

Key skills and Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree from technical University, preferred Bachelor or Master degree
  • Basic electrical and electronic knowledge
  • Basic Catia knowledge
  • Microsoft Office Skills
  • Exposure to Target driven environment
  • Analytical approach
  • Excellent English Communication Skills
  • Ability to travel
  • Job experience in an automotive background is desirable
  • Experience / Understanding of seat climate systems
