Director, Title New Business Development

  • As the Director, New Business Development for Radian's ValuAmerica division you are focused on growing our real estate information and technology services within the territory. These services include title, appraisal, closing and escrow services. You will be required to build business by identifying and selling prospective clients within the mortgage community. You will also be required to maintain relationships with prospective and converted clients. This position can be located anywhere in the territory that covers Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana recommended cities include Detroit, MI; Cincinnati, OH; Columbus, OH; Indianapolis, IN, Lexington, KY with access to a major airport; travel 70%.
  • Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • 1.)Identify list of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from various sources such as internet, trade shows, business directories, and industry ads.
  • 2.)Cold call prospective clients and travel throughout the country to distribute marketing materials, develop relationships and generate business.
  • 3.)Maintain and provide sales and activity reports on a monthly basis.
  • 4.)Attend industry association meetings, real estate events, Chamber of Commerce mixers, etc. to market services.
  • 5.)Investigate and resolve customer service issues.
  • 6.)Develop, implement and execute service surveys to customers.
  • 7.)Develop and conduct presentations for existing and prospective clients in demonstrating services offered.
  • 8.)Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Knowledge:
  • 5+ years working within mortgage industry, preferably title insurance experience
  • Knowledge of mortgage process, key roles within the process, and the settlement services field
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Marketing, Business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Skills & Abilities:
  • Extensive network of contacts within the mortgage industry in this territory
  • Ability to build and develop new relationships in a business to business selling model
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint)
  • Must have valid driver's license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance.

4.)Attend industry association meetings, real estate events, Chamber of Commerce mixers, etc. to market services.

7.)Develop and conduct presentations for existing and prospective clients in demonstrating services offered.

8.)Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge:

5+ years working within mortgage industry, preferably title insurance experience

Knowledge of mortgage process, key roles within the process, and the settlement services field

Bachelor’s degree preferred in Marketing, Business or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Skills & Abilities:

Extensive network of contacts within the mortgage industry in this territory

Ability to build and develop new relationships in a business to business selling model

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities

Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills

Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint)

Must have valid driver's license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance.
