Job Description

Workday is seeking a Senior Manager, International Payroll to join our team! Position Location: Dublin, Ireland AND Utah Salt Lake City(relocation assistance available)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage overall operations of payrolls for more than 25 countries primarily in Asia Pacific, and Europe
  • Ensure accurately and timely processing of payroll with strong data integrity
  • Responsible for ensuring all payroll regulatory filings are completed accurately and on time
  • Evaluate and enforce practices to support compliance in each country
  • Maintain a strong control environment, including protection of employee related data
  • Implement and maintain payroll best practices
  • Partner with other Workday teams to design and implement cross-functional process improvements, uptake new system functionality and support initiatives that scale with business growth.
  • Coordinate with internal and external customers to resolve payroll issues
  • Evaluate and ensure maintenance of policies and procedures for third-party payroll team
  • Oversee internal and cross-functional projects on the third-party payroll team. Contribute prioritization and make commitments to the cross-functional project roadmap
  • Mentor direct reports
  • Be a role model for the team, and develop a strong sense of shared team vision
  • Direct planning and development of team
  • Manage team objectives and key results
  • Maintain accountability for accomplishing these goals
  • Create and maintain visibility to operational and project status for leadership
  • Understand, and actively follow the expectations of a Workday people manager

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of increasing experience (at least 5 years as a Manager/Sr. Manager or equivalent in a global payroll function), in a high growth or public company
  • Bachelors Degree required, preferably in a business discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to manage an international payroll team
  • Significant experience effectively leading projects
