The Role

The Health Safety & Wellbeing (HS&W) team is responsible for managing safety and supporting the health and wellbeing of our people creates a healthy environment in which employees can perform, are resilient in time of change, are engaged and productive and continue to develop.

The role of the Health, Safety & Wellbeing specialist is to provide specialist expertise and insight on core HS&W systems and processes. The role will develop solutions and oversees effective execution of complete processes and frameworks aligned to plans and objectives set by the Centre of Expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy development
  • Contributes to design and implements frameworks, tools, processes and other mechanisms for the business areas to ensure effective implementation and proper governance throughout Amatil and achievement of people strategy
  • Implements and collects feedback on effectiveness of policies, procedures and frameworks to help HS&W deliver advice and solutions that meet business outcomes.
  • Mentors and guides others to help with day to day tasks and build the expertise of the team.

Career Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience of leading projects and delivering outcomes within set standards
  • Experience of advising and influencing colleagues
  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent
  • Specific certificate/qualification in specialist area helpful in some instances
  • Good knowledge of area of expertise within WH&S Strong listening and influencing skills
